Buenos Aires, April 14 (NA) – Vice President Victoria Villarruel was at the center of a heated social media exchange with Deputy Lilia Lemoine on Tuesday, in a confrontation that has become almost habitual, marked by irreconcilable differences. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the controversy erupted after Lemoine questioned the vice president's role and stated that she “only needed to be minimally loyal, humble, and keep quiet for four years,” referring to her relationship with President Javier Milei. Rather than avoiding the confrontation, Villarruel responded harshly to the criticisms and confronted the libertarian lawmaker head-on. In one of her messages, she thanked analyst Laura Etcharren for her support and directly targeted Lemoine: “The dislocation of this woman is comparable to her lack of qualifications to represent the role for which she was voted on a slate.” She also doubled down on the criticism by stating: “Demanding silence from others when she spews nonsense wholesale is just one of her many inconsistencies.”
